testimonial
- Oliver Brown, a defendant in criminal court who observed me representing a client, wrote me a letter and said,
- “Out
of the 25 years
I have been in and out of jail I honestly have never seen a lawyer
handle a case the way you handled Sean Gongora’s case. That shows your
skill and character.
I must say, you Ma’am are a very good lawyer and I would like to have you represent me.”

Emilia Diaz Fox
Welcome to the Law Offices of Emilia Diaz Fox
During my 31 years
of practice
I have learned a lot about the judicial system and human nature. I
could and should write a book. Certainly, I have had unforgettable cases and clients. I want to believe
that I contributed to
the
betterment of the lives
of most of my clients with the results obtained
for them.
How do I approach my cases? I thoroughly interrogate the client and try to find out every fact in the case. I also like to play the devil’s advocate by asking the following questions:
I believe in informing the client and providing the best and the worst possible scenarios so that the best decision on how to handle the case can be made.
My fees are reasonable and in accordance with community standards. In criminal cases, I charge flat fees depending on the type of the criminal charges, the number of witnesses, the complexity of the issues, whether the case is going to be settled through a plea agreement or through trial, the defendant’s prior criminal history, and other factors. In family cases, I ask for an initial retainer and charge a reasonable hourly rate.
I am fluent in Spanish and can communicate in French.

- What are the opponent’s strong points?

- What witnesses or evidence can be used to win the case?
